What is case management in JRS Indonesia?

Case Management is a collaborative process between refugees and JRS within a certain period to plan, seek, advocate and monitor holistic services to achieve goals and create changes, based on principles of partnership, equality, empowerment, and transparency and the process will be documented.

Service Provision under JRS Jakarta Case Management

  • Cash-Based Assistance
  • Emergency Health Assistance and/or temporary shelter
  • Home visit

All of the services would be linked to other service organizations and referral to partners/collaborators when needed.

Cash-Based Assistance

  • Duration of financial assistance is 3 months, with 1 time maximum extended assistance for 3 months (6 months max).
  • On a regular basis, JRS Jakarta referred cases from UNCHR.
  • In emergency situations refugees, RR, RLOs, and other organizations are welcome to request emergency assistance from JRS Jakarta. Subject to JRS’ capacity and further assessment.
  • Assistance is provided for individuals or families residing in Jakarta, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi areas.
  • Outreach approach means no office available. All of the activities and services are conducted by home visits or other appointed venues.

Emergency Health Assistance

Assistance is provided specifically to assist medical immediate response within an emergency condition such as non-stop bleeding, swallowing poisonous substance, vehicle accident, etc.

Service Provided :

  • Reimbursement on hospital bills
  • Referral to partner
  • Only for 1-time assistance
  • Direct request to JRS staff

Temporary Shelter Assistance

Assistance is provided specifically to assist any immediate shelter within an emergency condition such as an incident of GBV, domestic violence, and other protection concerns.

Service Provided :

  • Temporary shelter
  • Referral to related partner
  • Depending on the situation and condition, one-time temporary shelter and/or 3 months of financial assistance can be provided to the survivor.
  • Direct request to JRS staff

COVID-19 Related Case

Assistance is provided specifically to assist refugees with a positive case of COVID-19 or in close contact with a confirmed case (suspected case)

Service Provided:

  • Support on additional food, vitamins, PPE (Personal Protection Equipment), while in isolation, or First Aid Kit.
  • Support on Tests (self-test kit or laboratory test) when feeling unwell/possible covid.

Who can access the CM Jakarta program?

  • Those who are referred by UNHCR to JRS Jakarta
  • Or any refugees who had emergency immediate intervention
  • Live in the Greater Jakarta area (Jakarta, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi)
